Festival Info

Melick’s Town Farm Honeycrisp Festival takes place Saturday and Sunday Sept 3 – 4th at Melick’s Califon Orchard, 472 County Road 513, Califon, NJ 07830. Reservations are suggested and can be made on the website: melickstownfarm.com.

The highlight of the festival is pick-your-own Honeycrisp apples!  Admission is $5.99 per person and includes:  hard cider tasting for adults, wagon rides, a corn maze, scavenger hunt and a tractor tire playground for children.  

Kids of all ages love watching the farm animals playing on the goat tower or lounging in the barnyard.  Guests are welcome to pack a picnic lunch to enjoy in the picnic area. Homemade baked goods and pre-picked produce are available for purchase. Most pick-your-own fruit is $1.99 per pound with Honey Crisp apples at $2.99 per pound and no minumums.

Honeycrisp Apples and More!

Honeycrisp apples are juicy and sweet with a slight honey flavor.  Among the most popular apple varieties, they are great for eating or baking. Every bite of a Honeycrisp apple is a mouthful of yummy apple goodness!  Plenty of other delicious fruit is available for picking on the 200-acre farm including Gala and Ginger Gold apples, Asian pears, and yellow peaches.

Hard Cider

Melick’s award-winning hard cider is made from apples handpicked on the farm and crafted into cider on a traditional rack and cloth cider press. The cider is fermented in small batches to preserve the unique homegrown character.   Flavors include traditional hard cider, semi-dry, tart cherry, ginger and lemon shandy.  Melick’s Hard Cider tasting is included with admission from 11:00am – 5:00pm.  Canned and bottled hard ciders and Melick’s wines are available for purchase.
